Sharenting or Parenting? Bringing Youth Workers Together to Reflect on Digital Parenting

Asociatia ZIFT Educatie si Sport participated as a partner in the Erasmus+ Mobility of Youth Workers project “Sharenting or Parenting?” (Reference No: 2024-1-HU01-KA153-YOU-000198459), hosted by Kicsi Szívek Egyesülete in Budapest, Hungary, from 9 to 15 December 2024. The project brought together youth workers from Hungary, Portugal, Italy, Türkiye, and Romania to exchange experiences and explore the challenges and responsibilities of parenting in the digital age.

Throughout the activities, participants engaged in interactive ice-breaking exercises designed to strengthen communication and foster intercultural connections. Inspired by social media communication habits, youth workers reflected on the ways people introduce themselves online and used these insights to build meaningful connections with fellow participants in a creative and memorable way.

The project also introduced participants to the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme and the value of international mobility experiences. Through presentations and online discussions with experienced Erasmus+ participants, youth workers gained a deeper understanding of non-formal education, international cooperation, and the impact of youth projects on personal and professional development.

A dedicated session focused on Youthpass and its role in recognizing learning outcomes achieved through Erasmus+ projects. Using interactive and game-based methods, participants explored the eight key competences promoted by Youthpass while reflecting on their own learning journeys and the skills they aimed to develop throughout the mobility.

In addition, orientation and reflection activities supported participants in adapting to the local environment and evaluating their learning process. Collaborative challenges encouraged teamwork and problem-solving, while digital mind-mapping tools helped youth workers visualize their experiences, knowledge, and personal growth. Through its participation in the project, Asociatia ZIFT Educatie si Sport strengthened international cooperation and contributed to promoting responsible digital parenting, children's online privacy, and the exchange of good practices among youth workers across Europe.
